Psalm 108

NIRV 1 God, my heart feels secure. I will sing and make music to you with all my heart. NIV 1 My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul. NIRV 2 Harp and lyre, wake up! I want to sing and make music before the sun rises. NIV 2 Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. NIRV 3 Lord, I will praise you among the nations. I will sing about you among the people of the earth. NIV 3 I will praise you, LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. NIRV 4 Great is your love. It is higher than the heavens. Your truth reaches to the skies. NIV 4 For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. NIRV 5 God, may you be honored above the heavens. Let your glory be over the whole earth. NIV 5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. NIRV 6 Save us. Help us with your powerful right hand, so that those you love may be saved. NIV 6 Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered. NIRV 7 God has spoken from his temple. He has said, "I will win the battle. Then I will divide up the land around Shechem. I will divide up the Valley of Succoth. NIV 7 God has spoken from his sanctuary: “In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth. NIRV 8 Gilead belongs to me. So does the land of Manasseh. Ephraim is the strongest tribe. It is like a helmet for my head. Judah is the royal tribe. It is like a ruler's staff. NIV 8 Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah is my scepter. NIRV 9 Moab serves me like one who washes my feet. I toss my sandal on Edom to show that I own it. I shout to Philistia that I have won the battle." NIV 9 Moab is my washbasin, on Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph.” NIRV 10 Who will bring me to the city that has high walls around it? Who will lead me to the land of Edom? NIV 10 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? NIRV 11 God, isn't it you, even though you have now turned away from us? Isn't it you, even though you don't lead our armies into battle anymore? NIV 11 Is it not you, God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies? NIRV 12 Help us against our enemies. The help people give doesn't amount to anything. NIV 12 Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless. NIRV 13 With your help we will win the battle. You will walk all over our enemies. NIV 13 With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.
