1 Salmo 22<br />Para el director del coro: salmo de David; cántese con la melodía de «Cierva de la aurora».<br />Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has abandonado?<br />¿Por qué estás tan lejos cuando gimo por ayuda?

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from my cries of anguish?
2 Cada día clamo a ti, mi Dios, pero no respondes;<br />cada noche oyes mi voz, pero no encuentro alivio.

My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, but I find no rest.
3 Sin embargo, tú eres santo,<br />estás entronizado en las alabanzas de Israel.

Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the one Israel praises.
4 Nuestros antepasados confiaron en ti,<br />y los rescataste.

In you our ancestors put their trust; they trusted and you delivered them.
5 Clamaron a ti, y los salvaste;<br />confiaron en ti y nunca fueron avergonzados.

To you they cried out and were saved; in you they trusted and were not put to shame.
6 Pero yo soy un gusano, no un hombre;<br />¡todos me desprecian y me tratan con desdén!

But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by everyone, despised by the people.
7 Todos los que me ven se burlan de mí;<br />sonríen con malicia y menean la cabeza mientras dicen:

All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads.
8 «¿Este es el que confía en el Señor<br />?<br />Entonces ¡que el Señor<br /> lo salve!<br />Si el Señor<br /> lo ama tanto,<br />¡que lo rescate él!».

“He trusts in the LORD,” they say, “let the LORD rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him.”
9 Sin embargo, me sacaste a salvo del vientre de mi madre<br />y, desde que ella me amamantaba, me hiciste confiar en ti.

Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you, even at my mother’s breast.
10 Me arrojaron en tus brazos al nacer;<br />desde mi nacimiento, tú has sido mi Dios.

From birth I was cast on you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God.
11 No te quedes tan lejos de mí,<br />porque se acercan dificultades,<br />y nadie más puede ayudarme.

Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help.
12 Mis enemigos me rodean como una manada de toros;<br />¡toros feroces de Basán me tienen cercado!

Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.
13 Como leones abren sus fauces contra mí;<br />rugen y despedazan a su presa.

Roaring lions that tear their prey open their mouths wide against me.
14 Mi vida se derrama como el agua,<br />y todos mis huesos se han dislocado.<br />Mi corazón es como cera<br />que se derrite dentro de mí.

I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has melted within me.
15 Mi fuerza se ha secado como barro cocido;<br />la lengua se me pega al paladar.<br />Me acostaste en el polvo y me diste por muerto.

My mouth is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death.
16 Mis enemigos me rodean como una jauría de perros;<br />una pandilla de malvados me acorrala;<br />han atravesado mis manos y mis pies.

Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet.
17 Puedo contar cada uno de mis huesos;<br />mis enemigos me miran fijamente y se regodean.

All my bones are on display; people stare and gloat over me.
18 Se reparten mi vestimenta entre ellos<br />y tiran los dados<br /> por mi ropa.

They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.
19 ¡Oh Señor<br />, no te quedes lejos!<br />Tú eres mi fuerza, ¡ven pronto en mi auxilio!

But you, LORD, do not be far from me. You are my strength; come quickly to help me.
20 Sálvame de la espada;<br />libra mi preciosa vida de estos perros.

Deliver me from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dogs.
21 Arrebátame de las fauces del león<br />y de los cuernos de estos bueyes salvajes.

Rescue me from the mouth of the lions; save me from the horns of the wild oxen.
22 Anunciaré tu nombre a mis hermanos;<br />entre tu pueblo reunido te alabaré.

I will declare your name to my people; in the assembly I will praise you.
23 ¡Alaben al Señor<br />, todos los que le temen!<br />¡Hónrenlo, descendientes de Jacob!<br />¡Muéstrenle reverencia, descendientes de Israel!

You who fear the LORD, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, honor him! Revere him, all you descendants of Israel!
24 Pues no ha pasado por alto ni ha tenido en menos el sufrimiento de los necesitados;<br />no les dio la espalda,<br />sino que ha escuchado sus gritos de auxilio.

For he has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help.
25 Te alabaré en la gran asamblea;<br />cumpliré mis promesas en presencia de los que te adoran.

From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly; before those who fear you I will fulfill my vows.
26 Los pobres comerán y quedarán satisfechos;<br />todos los que buscan al Señor<br /> lo alabarán;<br />se alegrará el corazón con gozo eterno.

The poor will eat and be satisfied; those who seek the LORD will praise him— may your hearts live forever!
27 Toda la tierra reconocerá al Señor<br /> y regresará a él;<br />todas las familias de las naciones se inclinarán ante él.

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him,
28 Pues el poder de la realeza pertenece al Señor<br />;<br />él gobierna a todas las naciones.

for dominion belongs to the LORDand he rules over the nations.
29 Que los ricos de la tierra hagan fiesta y adoren;<br />inclínense ante él todos los mortales,<br />aquellos cuya vida terminará como polvo.

All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him— those who cannot keep themselves alive.
30 Nuestros hijos también lo servirán;<br />las generaciones futuras oirán de las maravillas del Señor.

Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord.
31 A los que aún no han nacido les contarán de sus actos de justicia;<br />ellos oirán de todo lo que él ha hecho.

They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it!
