1 Dios mío, Dios mío,¿por qué me has abandonado?Lejos estás para salvarme,lejos de mis palabras de lamento.

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from my cries of anguish?
2 Dios mío, clamo de día y no me respondes;clamo de noche y no hallo reposo.

My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, but I find no rest.
3 Pero tú eres santo, tú eres rey,¡tú eres la alabanza de Israel!

Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the one Israel praises.
4 En ti confiaron nuestros padres;confiaron, y tú los libraste;

In you our ancestors put their trust; they trusted and you delivered them.
5 a ti clamaron, y tú los salvaste;se apoyaron en ti, y no los defraudaste.

To you they cried out and were saved; in you they trusted and were not put to shame.
6 Pero yo, gusano soy y no hombre;la gente se burla de mí,el pueblo me desprecia.

But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by everyone, despised by the people.
7 Cuantos me ven, se ríen de mí;lanzan insultos, meneando la cabeza:

All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads.
8 «Este confía en el SEÑOR,¡pues que el SEÑOR lo ponga a salvo!Ya que en él se deleita,¡que sea él quien lo libre!»

“He trusts in the LORD,” they say, “let the LORD rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him.”
9 Pero tú me sacaste del vientre materno;me hiciste reposar confiadoen el regazo de mi madre.

Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you, even at my mother’s breast.
10 Fui puesto a tu cuidadodesde antes de nacer;desde el vientre de mi madremi Dios eres tú.

From birth I was cast on you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God.
11 No te alejes de mí,porque la angustia está cercay no hay nadie que me ayude.

Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help.
12 Muchos toros me rodean;fuertes toros de Basán me cercan.

Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.
13 Contra mí abren sus faucesleones que rugen y desgarran a su presa.

Roaring lions that tear their prey open their mouths wide against me.
14 Como agua he sido derramado;dislocados están todos mis huesos.Mi corazón se ha vuelto como cera,y se derrite en mis entrañas.

I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has melted within me.
15 Se ha secado mi vigor como una teja;la lengua se me pega al paladar.¡Me has hundido en el polvo de la muerte!

My mouth is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death.
16 Como perros de presa, me han rodeado;me ha cercado una banda de malvados;me han traspasado las manos y los pies.

Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet.
17 Puedo contar todos mis huesos;con satisfacción perversala gente se detiene a mirarme.

All my bones are on display; people stare and gloat over me.
18 Se reparten entre ellos mis vestidosy sobre mi ropa echan suertes.

They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.
19 Pero tú, SEÑOR, no te alejes;fuerza mía, ven pronto en mi auxilio.

But you, LORD, do not be far from me. You are my strength; come quickly to help me.
20 Libra mi vida de la espada,mi preciosa vida del poder de esos perros.
20
Deliver me from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dogs.
21 Rescátame de la boca de los leones;sálvame de los cuernos de los toros.

Rescue me from the mouth of the lions; save me from the horns of the wild oxen.
22 Proclamaré tu nombre a mis hermanos;en medio de la congregación te alabaré.

I will declare your name to my people; in the assembly I will praise you.
23 ¡Alaben al SEÑOR los que le temen!¡Hónrenlo, descendientes de Jacob!¡Venérenlo, descendientes de Israel!

You who fear the LORD, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, honor him! Revere him, all you descendants of Israel!
24 Porque él no desprecia ni tiene en pocoel sufrimiento del pobre;no esconde de él su rostro,sino que lo escucha cuando a él clama.

For he has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help.
25 Tú inspiras mi alabanza en la gran asamblea;ante los que te temen cumpliré mis promesas.
25
From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly; before those who fear you I will fulfill my vows.
26 Comerán los pobres y se saciarán;alabarán al SEÑOR quienes lo buscan;¡que su corazón viva para siempre!

The poor will eat and be satisfied; those who seek the LORD will praise him— may your hearts live forever!
27 Se acordarán del SEÑOR y se volverán a éltodos los confines de la tierra;ante él se postrarántodas las familias de las naciones,

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him,
28 porque del SEÑOR es el reino;él gobierna sobre las naciones.

for dominion belongs to the LORDand he rules over the nations.
29 Festejarán y adorarán todos los ricos de la tierra;ante él se postrarán todos los que bajan al polvo,los que no pueden conservar su vida.
29
All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him— those who cannot keep themselves alive.
30 La posteridad le servirá;del Señor se hablará a las generaciones futuras.

Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord.
31 A un pueblo que aún no ha nacidose le dirá que Dios hizo justicia.

They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it!
