1 El rollo que volaba<br />Levanté otra vez la mirada y vi un rollo volando en el aire.

I looked again, and there before me was a flying scroll.
2 —¿Qué ves? —preguntó el ángel.<br />—Veo un rollo que vuela —contesté—. Parece tener cerca de diez metros de largo y cinco metros de ancho.

He asked me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll, twenty cubits long and ten cubits wide. ”
3 Entonces él me dijo:<br />—Este rollo contiene la maldición que cubrirá toda la tierra. Un lado del rollo dice que los que roban serán desterrados; el otro lado dice que los que juran en falso serán desterrados.

And he said to me, “This is the curse that is going out over the whole land; for according to what it says on one side, every thief will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely will be banished.
4 El Señor<br /> de los Ejércitos Celestiales dice: “Envío esta maldición a la casa de cada ladrón y a la casa de todos los que juran en falso usando mi nombre. Mi maldición se quedará en esa casa y la destruirá por completo, hasta las maderas y las piedras”.

The LORD Almighty declares, ‘I will send it out, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of anyone who swears falsely by my name. It will remain in that house and destroy it completely, both its timbers and its stones.’ ”
5 La mujer en un canasto<br />Entonces el ángel que hablaba conmigo se adelantó y dijo:<br />—Mira hacia arriba y fíjate en lo que viene.

Then the angel who was speaking to me came forward and said to me, “Look up and see what is appearing.”
6 —¿Qué es? —pregunté.<br />—Es un canasto para medir grano<br /> —respondió— y está lleno con los pecados<br /> de los habitantes de todo el país.

I asked, “What is it?” He replied, “It is a basket.” And he added, “This is the iniquity of the people throughout the land.”
7 Entonces fue levantada la pesada tapa de plomo del canasto y adentro había una mujer sentada.

Then the cover of lead was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman!
8 El ángel dijo: «La mujer se llama Perversidad», y la empujó adentro del canasto otra vez y cerró la pesada tapa.

He said, “This is wickedness,” and he pushed her back into the basket and pushed its lead cover down on it.
9 Entonces miré hacia arriba y vi a dos mujeres que volaban hacia nosotros, planeando con el viento. Tenían alas como de cigüeña, y recogieron el canasto y levantaron el vuelo.

Then I looked up—and there before me were two women, with the wind in their wings! They had wings like those of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between heaven and earth.
10 —¿Adónde llevan el canasto? —le pregunté al ángel.

“Where are they taking the basket?” I asked the angel who was speaking to me.
11 —A la tierra de Babilonia<br /> —me respondió—, donde construirán un templo para el canasto. Luego, cuando el templo esté listo, colocarán el canasto allí sobre un pedestal.

He replied, “To the country of Babylonia to build a house for it. When the house is ready, the basket will be set there in its place.”
