1 Chronicles 9:39-44

39 Ner became the father of Kish; and Kish became the father of Sha'ul; and Sha'ul became the father of Yonatan, and Malki-Shua, and Avinadav, and Eshba`al.
40 The son of Yonatan was Meriv-Ba`al; and Meriv-Ba`al became the father of Mikhah.
41 The sons of Mikhah: Piton, and Melekh, and Tachre`a, [and Achaz].
42 Achaz became the father of Ya`rah; and Ya`rah became the father of `Alemet, and `Azmavet, and Zimri; and Zimri became the father of Motzah;
43 and Motzah became the father of Bin`a; and Refayah his son, El`asah his son, Atzel his son.
44 Atzel had six sons, whose names are these: `Azrikam, Bokhru, and Yishma'el, and She`aryah, and `Ovadyah, and Hanan: these were the sons of Atzel.

INTRODUCTION TO 1 CHRONICLES 9

The genealogies of the several tribes being given, according as they were written in the books of the kings of Israel, 1Ch 9:1, an account follows of those who first settled in Jerusalem after their return from the Babylonish captivity; of the Israelites, 1Ch 9:2-9, of the priests, 1Ch 9:10-13 of the Levites, and of the charge and offices of several of the priests and Levites, 1Ch 9:14-34, and the chapter is concluded with a repetition of the genealogy of the ancestors and posterity of Saul king of Israel, 1Ch 9:35-44.
