1 Cronache 8:1-11

1 Beniamino generò Bela, suo primogenito, Ashbel il secondo, Aharah il terzo,

2 Nohah il quarto, e Rafa il quinto.

3 I figliuoli di Bela furono: Addar, Ghera, Abihud,

4 Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah,

5 Ghera, Scefufan e Huram.

6 Questi sono i figliuoli di Ehud, che erano capi delle famiglie che abitavano Gheba e che furon trasportati schiavi a Manahath.

7 Egli generò Naaman, Ahija e Ghera, che li menò via schiavi; e generò Uzza ed Ahihud.

8 Shaharaim ebbe de’ figliuoli nella terra di Moab dopo che ebbe ripudiate le sue mogli Huscim e Baara.

9 Da Hodesh sua moglie ebbe: Jobab, Tsibia, Mesha, Malcam,

10 Jeuts, Sokia e Mirma. Questi furono i suoi figliuoli, capi di famiglie patriarcali.

11 Da Huscim ebbe: Abitub ed Elpaal.

In this chapter the genealogy of the tribe of Benjamin is reconsidered, and several of the principal men and families in it are taken notice of, which were not before; or a further account is given of them, as of the sons and grandsons of Benjamin, 1Ch 8:1-5, of Ehud, 1Ch 8:5-7, of Shaharaim, 1Ch 8:8-11, of Elpaal and Beriah, 1Ch 8:12-18 of Shimhi, 1Ch 8:19-21, of Shashak, 1Ch 8:22-25, of Jeroham, 1Ch 8:26,27, of Jehiel the father of Gibeon, 1Ch 8:28-32, of Ner, and particularly Saul, 1Ch 8:33 and of Jonathan, and his posterity, 1Ch 8:34-40.
