54 Territorio para los levitas
Este es un registro de las ciudades y del territorio asignados, por sorteo sagrado, a los descendientes de Aarón que pertenecían al clan de Coat.

55 Este territorio en Judá incluía Hebrón y los pastizales que lo rodeaban,

56 pero Caleb, hijo de Jefone, recibió los campos y las zonas circundantes que pertenecían a la ciudad.

57 Así que a los descendientes de Aarón les entregaron las siguientes ciudades, cada una con sus pastizales: Hebrón (una ciudad de refugio),
Libna, Jatir, Estemoa,

58 Holón,
Debir,

59 Aín,
Juta
y Bet-semes.

60 Además, del territorio de Benjamín, recibieron Gabaón,
Geba, Alemet y Anatot, cada una con sus pastizales. De modo que se les entregaron trece ciudades a los descendientes de Aarón.

61 Los demás descendientes de Coat recibieron por sorteo sagrado diez ciudades del territorio de la media tribu de Manasés.

62 Los descendientes de Gersón recibieron por sorteo sagrado trece ciudades de los territorios de Isacar, Aser, Neftalí y de la región de Basán al oriente del Jordán, que pertenece a Manasés.

INTRODUCTION TO 1 CHRONICLES 6

This chapter begins with the fathers and heads of the tribe of Levi, 1Ch 6:1-3, and reckons up the high priests in the line of Eleazar, to the Babylonish captivity, 1Ch 6:4-15 gives an account of the families of the sons of Levi, 1Ch 6:16-30 and of those Levites that were employed as singers, and in other ministrations in the sanctuary in the times of David and Solomon, 1Ch 6:31-49, then follows a repetition of the sons of Aaron in the line of Eleazar, to the said times, 1Ch 6:50-53, and a recital of the dwelling places of the Levites in the several tribes, 1Ch 6:54-81.
