Moreover he builtcities in the mountains of Judah, and in the forests he builtcastles and towers.

He fought also with the king of the Ammonites, and prevailed against them. And the children of Ammongave him the same year an hundredtalents of silver, and tenthousandmeasures of wheat, and tenthousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammonpayunto him, both the secondyear, and the third.

So Jotham became mighty , because he prepared his waysbefore the LORD his God.

Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

He was five and twentyyearsold when he began to reign , and reignedsixteen*years in Jerusalem.

And Jothamslept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Ahaz his sonreigned in his stead.
This chapter treats of the reign of Jotham, which was a good one, 2Ch 27:1,2, of his buildings and wars, 2Ch 27:3-6, and of his death and burial, 2Ch 27:7-9.
