Acts 5:27-32

When they had brought them, they stood them before 1the Council. The high priest questioned them,
saying, "We gave you 2strict orders not to continue teaching in this name, and yet, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and 3intend to bring this man's blood upon us."
But Peter and the apostles answered, "4We must obey God rather than men.
"5The God of our fathers 6raised up Jesus, whom you had 7put to death by hanging Him on a cross.
"8He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a 9Prince and a 10Savior, to grant 11repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
"And we are 12witnesses of these things; and 13so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him."
