AndSaul,yet breathing outthreateningsandslaughteragainst the disciples of the Lord,went unto the high priest,

And desiredofhimletterstoDamascusto the synagogues,thatif he foundany of this way,[a]whether they weremenorwomen, he might bring thembound untoJerusalem.

And as hejourneyed*, he camenearDamascus:andsuddenly there shined round abouthim a lightfromheaven:

And he fellto the earth, and heard a voicesaying unto him,Saul,Saul,why persecutest thoume?

And he said, Who art thou, Lord?And the Lordsaid, IamJesuswhomthoupersecutest: it is hard for thee to kickagainst the pricks.

And he tremblingandastonishedsaid, Lord,what wilt thou haveme to do? And the Lord said untohim,Arise, andgointo the city,and it shall be toldtheewhatthoumustdo.

And the menwhichjourneyed with himstoodspeechless,hearing* a voice,butseeing no man.

AndSaularosefrom the earth;and when hiseyes were opened, he saw no man:but they ledhim by the hand, and brought him intoDamascus.

And he wasthreedayswithoutsight, andneither did eatnordrink.

And there was a certaindiscipleatDamascus,namedAnanias;andtohimsaid the Lordin a vision,Ananias.And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.

And the Lord said untohim,Arise, and gointo the streetwhich is calledStraight,andenquirein the house of Judas for one calledSaul, of Tarsus:for,behold, he prayeth,
