And he that was dead came forth , boundhandandfoot with graveclothes:andhisface was bound about with a napkin.Jesussaith unto them,Loosehim,and let himgo .

Thenmanyof the JewswhichcametoMary,and had seen the things whichJesusdid , believedonhim.

Butsomeofthem went their waysto the Pharisees,andtoldthem what thingsJesus had done .

Thengathered the chief priestsand the Pharisees a council,andsaid , What do we ? forthismandoethmanymiracles.

If we lethimthusalone , all men will believeonhim:and the Romans shall comeand take awaybothourplaceandnation.

Andone*ofthem, named Caiaphas,being the high priest that sameyear,said unto them,Yeknow nothing at all*,

Norconsiderthat it is expedient for us,thatoneman should diefor the people,and that the wholenationperishnot.

Andthis spake henotofhimself:butbeing high priestthatyear, he prophesiedthatJesusshoulddie for thatnation;

Andnot for thatnationonly,butthatalso he should gather togetherinone the children of God that were scattered abroad .

Thenfromthatday forth they took counsel together for toputhim to death .
