A Regulamentação acerca do Holocausto

8 O SENHOR disse a Moisés:

9 “Dê este mandamento a Arão e a seus filhos, a regulamentação acerca do holocausto: Ele terá que ficar queimando até de manhã sobre as brasas do altar, onde o fogo terá que ser mantido aceso.

10 O sacerdote vestirá suas roupas de linho e os calções de linho por baixo, retirará as cinzas do holocausto que o fogo consumiu no altar e as colocará ao lado do altar.

11 Depois trocará de roupa e levará as cinzas para fora do acampamento, a um lugar cerimonialmente puro.

12 Mantenha-se aceso o fogo no altar; não deve ser apagado. Toda manhã o sacerdote acrescentará lenha, arrumará o holocausto sobre o fogo e queimará sobre ele a gordura das ofertas de comunhão.

13 Mantenha-se o fogo continuamente aceso no altar; não deve ser apagado.

INTRODUCTION TO LEVITICUS 6

This chapter treats of the trespass offering for sins committed knowingly and wilfully, Le 6:1-7 and of the law of the burnt offering, and of cleansing the altar of burnt offering, and keeping the fire burning on it continually, Le 6:8-13 and of the meat offering, which is repeated with some additional circumstances, Le 6:14-18 and of the offering at the consecration of the high priest, Le 6:19-23 and of the sin offering, and where to be killed and eaten, and by whom, Le 6:24-30.
