And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down . And the eyes of all them that werein the synagogue were fastened on him.

And he began to sayuntothem,Thisdayisthisscripturefulfilledinyourears.

Andallbarehimwitness , andwonderedat the graciouswordswhichproceeded out ofhismouth.And they said , IsnotthisJoseph'sson?

And he saiduntothem,Ye willsurelysay unto methisproverb,Physician,healthyself:whatsoever we have hearddoneinCapernaum,doalsohereinthycountry.

And he said , Verily I say unto you*, Noprophetisacceptedin his owncountry.

But I tellyouof a truth,manywidowswereinIsraelin the days of Elias,when the heaven was shut up*threeyearsandsixmonths,whengreatfaminewasthroughoutall the land;

Butuntonone of themwasEliassent , saveuntoSarepta, a city of Sidon,unto a woman that was a widow.

AndmanyleperswereinIsrael in the time of Eliseus the prophet;andnone of them was cleansed , savingNaaman the Syrian.

And all theyin the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,

And rose up , and thrusthim out of the city,andledhimunto the brow of the hillwhereon*theircity was built , that they might casthim down headlong .
