AndJesusansweringthem*said , Have yenotread so much asthis,whatDaviddid , whenhimself was an hungred , and they whichwerewithhim;

How he wentinto the house of God,and did takeandeat the shewbread*, andgavealso to them that were withhim;which it isnotlawful to eat but for the priestsalone?

And he said unto them,That the Son of manisLordalso of the sabbath.

And it came to passalsoonanothersabbath, that heenteredinto the synagogueandtaught : andtherewas a manwhose*righthandwaswithered.

And the scribesandPhariseeswatchedhim,whether he would healon the sabbath day;that they might find an accusation against him.

Butheknewtheirthoughts,andsaid to the manwhichhad the witheredhand,Rise up , and stand forthin the midst.And he arose and stood forth .

ThensaidJesusuntothem,I will askyou one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good , or to do evil ? to savelife,or to destroy it?

And looking round about uponthemall, he said unto the man,Stretch forththyhand.And he didso:andhishand was restoredwholeas the other.

Andthey were filled with madness;andcommuned one with another*whatthey might do to Jesus.

And it came to passinthosedays, that he went outinto a mountain to pray , and continued all night*inprayer to God.

Andwhen it wasday, he called unto him hisdisciples:andofthem he chosetwelve,whomalso he namedapostles;
