I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood1 cannot inherit the kingdom of God,2 nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.3

Listen, I tell you a mystery:4 We will not all sleep,5 but we will all be changed6--
52
in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,7 the dead8 will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
53
For the perishable9 must clothe itself with the imperishable,10 and the mortal with immortality.
