12 And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth. 9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail . 1 And the men of Kirjathjearim came , and fetched up the ark of the LORD, and brought it into the house of Abinadab in the hill, and sanctified Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the LORD. 24 And the cook took up the shoulder, and that which was upon it, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said , Behold that which is left ! set it before thee, and eat : for unto this time hath it been kept for thee since I said , I have invited the people. So Saul did eat with Samuel that day. 13 And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly : thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. 14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue : the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee. 20 And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper , and took , and went , as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for the battle. 22 And David left his carriage in the hand of the keeper of the carriage, and ran into the army, and came and saluted his brethren. 2 But Jonathan Saul's son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying , Saul my father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself: 11 Saul also sent messengers unto David's house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David's wife told him, saying , If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain . 4 And the priest answered David, and said , There is no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women. 21 Now David had said , Surely in vain have I kept all that this fellow hath in the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that pertained unto him: and he hath requited me evil for good. 15 And David said to Abner, Art not thou a valiant man? and who is like to thee in Israel? wherefore then hast thou not kept thy lord the king? for there came one of the people in to destroy the king thy lord. 16 This thing is not good that thou hast done . As the LORD liveth, ye are worthy to die, because ye have not kept your master, the LORD'S anointed. And now see where the king's spear is, and the cruse of water that was at his bolster. 2 And David said to Achish, Surely thou shalt know what thy servant can do . And Achish said to David, Therefore will I make thee keeper of mine head for ever. 23 Then said David, Ye shall not do so , my brethren, with that which the LORD hath given us, who hath preserved us, and delivered the company that came against us into our hand.
