2 Corinthians 4:17; 2 Corinthians 5:5; 2 Corinthians 7:10-11; 2 Corinthians 9:11; 2 Corinthians 12:12 (King James Version)

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter. 11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. 12 Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.
