19 Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children. 24 And Joram slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead. 10 And to the captains over hundreds did the priest give king David's spears and shields, that were in the temple of the LORD. 21 For Jozachar the son of Shimeath, and Jehozabad the son of Shomer, his servants, smote him, and he died ; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Amaziah his son reigned in his stead. 3 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he did according to all things as Joash his father did . 7 So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead. 38 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead. 2 Twenty years old was Ahaz when he began to reign , and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD his God, like David his father. 20 And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead. 21 For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king : and Jeroboam drave Israel from following the LORD, and made them sin a great sin. 3 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did . 34 For I will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake. 5 Turn again , and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD. 6 And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake. 7 And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the LORD said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever: 2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.
