32Now as Peter was travelingthroughall those regions, he camedownalso to 1the saints who lived at 2Lydda.

There he found a mannamedAeneas, who had been bedridden**eightyears, for he was paralyzed.

Petersaid to him, "Aeneas, JesusChristheals you; get up and make your bed." Immediately he got up.

And all who lived at 3Lydda and 4Sharonsaw him, and they 5turned to the Lord.

Now in 6Joppa there was a disciplenamedTabitha (whichtranslated in Greek is calledDorcas ); thiswoman was abounding with deeds of kindness and charitywhich she continually did.

And it happened at that time that she fellsick and died; and when they had washed her body, they laid it in an 7upperroom.

Since Lydda was near8Joppa, 9the disciples, having heard that Peter was there*, senttwomen to him, imploring him, "Do not delay in coming to us."

SoPeterarose and went with them. When he arrived, they brought him into the 10upperroom; and all the 11widowsstoodbeside him, weeping and showingall the tunics and garments that Dorcas used to makewhile she was with them.

But Peter12sent them all out and 13knelt*down* and prayed, and turning to the body, he said, "14Tabitha, arise." And she opened her eyes, and when she sawPeter, she sat up.

And he gave her his hand and raised her up; and calling15the saints and 16widows, he presented her alive.

It becameknownallover17Joppa, and 18manybelieved in the Lord.

And Peter stayedmanydays in 19Joppa with 20a tanner named Simon.
