Then I, Daniel, looked and behold, twoothers were standing, one on thisbank of the river and the other on that bank of the river.
And 1one said to the man2dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, "3Howlong will it be until the end of these wonders?"
I heard the mandressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, aas he 4raised his righthand and his lefttowardheaven, and swore by 5Him wholivesforever that it would be for a b6time, ctimes, and half a dtime; and as soon as ethey finish7shattering the fpower of the holypeople, allthese events will be completed.
As for me, I heard but could not understand; so I said, "My lord, what will be the goutcome of these events?"
He said, "Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and 8sealed up until the endtime.
"9Many will be purged, hpurified and refined, but the 10wicked will actwickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but ithose who 11haveinsight will understand.
"From the time that the regularsacrifice is abolished and the j12abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290days.
"How 13blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the 1,335days!
"But as for you, go your way to the kend; then you will enter into 14rest and rise again for your 15allottedportion at the end of the lage."
