Pharaoh's chariots and his army3 he has hurled into the sea. The best of Pharaoh's officers are drowned in the Red Sea.a

The deep waters4 have covered them; they sank to the depths like a stone.5

"Your right hand,6 O LORD, was majestic in power. Your right hand,7 O LORD, shattered8 the enemy.

In the greatness of your majesty9 you threw down those who opposed you. You unleashed your burning anger;10 it consumed11 them like stubble.

By the blast of your nostrils12 the waters piled up.13 The surging waters stood firm like a wall;14 the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.15
