Then after three years,1 I went up to Jerusalem2 to get acquainted with Petera and stayed with him fifteen days.

I saw none of the other apostles--only James,3 the Lord's brother.

I assure you before God4 that what I am writing you is no lie.5

Later I went to Syria6 and Cilicia.7

I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea8 that are in Christ.9

They only heard the report: "The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith10 he once tried to destroy."11

And they praised God12 because of me.
