View In My Bible
9 "Therefore I will take away my grain1 when it ripens, and my new wine2 when it is ready. I will take back my wool and my linen, intended to cover her nakedness. 10 So now I will expose3 her lewdness before the eyes of her lovers;4 no one will take her out of my hands.5 11 I will stop6 all her celebrations:7 her yearly festivals, her New Moons, her Sabbath days--all her appointed feasts.8 12 I will ruin her vines9 and her fig trees,10 which she said were her pay from her lovers;11 I will make them a thicket,12 and wild animals will devour them.13 13 I will punish her for the days she burned incense14 to the Baals;15 she decked herself with rings and jewelry,16 and went after her lovers,17 but me she forgot,18" declares the LORD.19
