We all, like sheep, have gone astray,1 each of us has turned to his own way;2 and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity3 of us all.
He was oppressed4 and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth;5 he was led like a lamb6 to the slaughter,7 and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
By oppressiona and judgment8 he was taken away. And who can speak of his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living;9 for the transgression10 of my people he was stricken.b9
He was assigned a grave with the wicked,11 and with the rich12 in his death, though he had done no violence,13 nor was any deceit in his mouth.1410
Yet it was the LORD's will15 to crush16 him and cause him to suffer,17 and though the LORD makesc his life a guilt offering,18 he will see his offspring19 and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper20 in his hand.
After the suffering21 of his soul, he will see the light22 [of life]d and be satisfiede; by his knowledgef my righteous servant23 will justify24 many, and he will bear their iniquities.2512
Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,g26 and he will divide the spoils27 with the strong,h because he poured out his life unto death,28 and was numbered with the transgressors.29 For he bore30 the sin of many,31 and made intercession32 for the transgressors.
