Then you will look and be radiant,1 your heart will throb and swell with joy;2 the wealth3 on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.
Herds of camels4 will cover your land, young camels of Midian5 and Ephah.6 And all from Sheba7 will come, bearing gold and incense8 and proclaiming the praise9 of the LORD.
All Kedar's10 flocks will be gathered to you, the rams of Nebaioth will serve you; they will be accepted as offerings11 on my altar,12 and I will adorn my glorious temple.138
"Who are these14 that fly along like clouds,15 like doves to their nests?
Surely the islands16 look to me; in the lead are the ships of Tarshish,a17 bringing18 your sons from afar, with their silver and gold,19 to the honor20 of the LORD your God, the Holy One21 of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.2210
"Foreigners23 will rebuild your walls, and their kings24 will serve you. Though in anger I struck you, in favor25 I will show you compassion.2611
Your gates27 will always stand open, they will never be shut, day or night, so that men may bring you the wealth of the nations28-- their kings29 led in triumphal procession.
