Young's Literal Translation
Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried , whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
Then Peter said , Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk .
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them , and brought the prices of the things that were sold ,
Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
Whiles it remained , was it not thine own ? and after it was sold , was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked :
Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.
And brought them to the magistrates, saying , These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,
But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans , and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out .
God that made the world and all things therein , seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him , though he be not far from every one of us:
Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet , and to do nothing rashly.
For we are in danger to be called in question for this day's uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse.
And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, Thou seest , brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe ; and they are all zealous of the law:
I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.
And because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to depart thence also, if by any means they might attain to Phenice, and there to winter ; which is an haven of Crete, and lieth toward the south west and north west.
But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said , Sirs , ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.
Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you.
In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously.
Who, when they had examined me, would have let me go , because there was no cause of death in me.
