Young's Literal Translation
For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: for the hay is withered away , the grass faileth , there is no green thing.
And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up .
The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither , be driven away , and be no more.
When the boughs thereof are withered , they shall be broken off : the women come , and set them on fire : for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour .
They were all ashamed of a people that could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit , but a shame, and also a reproach.
The grass withereth , the flower fadeth : because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
The grass withereth , the flower fadeth : but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Yea, they shall not be planted ; yea, they shall not be sown : yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither , and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.
I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.
That saith to the deep, Be dry , and I will dry up thy rivers:
