Young's Literal Translation
And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying , What manner of child shall this be ! And the hand of the Lord was with him.
And, behold , men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy : and they sought means to bring him in , and to lay him before him.
He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep , and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose , the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.
No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware , and will cut him in sunder , and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down , and reapest that thou didst not sow .
And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down , and reaping that I did not sow :
Till I make thine enemies thy footstool .
Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer :
And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down , and prayed ,
And he took it down , and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid .
And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after , and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid .
