And rose up , and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built , that they might cast him down headlong .
He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep , and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose , the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
But he that heareth , and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently , and immediately it fell ; and the ruin of that house was great.
For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.
And he said , This will I do : I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
Saying , This man began to build , and was not able to finish .
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat , they drank , they bought , they sold , they planted , they builded ;
And he beheld them, and said , What is this then that is written , The stone which the builders rejected , the same is become the head of the corner?
