When the morning was come, all the chief priestsandelders of the peopletookcounselagainstJesustoputhim to death:

And when they had boundhim, they led him away, anddeliveredhim to PontiusPilate the governor.

ThenJudas,which had betrayedhim, when he sawthat he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priestsandelders,

Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocentblood.And they said, What is that tous?seethou to that.

And he cast down the pieces of silverin the temple, and departed, andwent and hanged himself.

And the chief prieststook the silver pieces, and said, It isnotlawful for to puttheminto the treasury,because it is the price of blood.

And they tookcounsel, and boughtwiththem the potter'sfield,toburystrangersin.

Whereforethatfield was called, The field of blood,unto this day.

Then was fulfilled that which was spokenbyJeremy the prophet,saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom[a] they of the children of Israel did value;

Andgavethemfor the potter'sfield,as the Lordappointedme.
