9 Y el escriba Safán vino al rey, y trajo palabra al rey, diciendo: Tus siervos han tomado el dinero que se halló en la casa, y lo han puesto en mano de los obreros encargados de supervisar la casa del SEÑOR.

2 Kings 22:9

And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king
word again
Of the delivery of his message to the high priest, and of what had been done upon it:

and said, thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the
house;
meaning Hilkiah and himself, who had examined the chest in the temple, into which the money was put for the repairs of it, and had taken it out, and told it:

and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have
the oversight of the house of the Lord;
according to the king's orders.

7 Pero no se les pedirá cuenta del dinero entregado en sus manos porque obran con fidelidad.

8 Entonces el sumo sacerdote Hilcías dijo al escriba Safán: He hallado el libro de la ley en la casa del SEÑOR. E Hilcías dio el libro a Safán, y éste lo leyó.

9 Y el escriba Safán vino al rey, y trajo palabra al rey, diciendo: Tus siervos han tomado el dinero que se halló en la casa, y lo han puesto en mano de los obreros encargados de supervisar la casa del SEÑOR.

10 El escriba Safán informó también al rey, diciendo: El sacerdote Hilcías me ha dado un libro. Y Safán lo leyó en la presencia del rey.

11 Y sucedió que cuando el rey oyó las palabras del libro de la ley, rasgó sus vestidos.
