7 Yǐ sè liè wáng zhào lė guó zhōng dė zhǎng lǎo lái, duì tā mėn shuō, qǐng nǐ mėn kàn kàn, zhè rén shì zěn yàng dė móu hài wǒ, tā xiān chà qiǎn rén dào wǒ zhè lǐ lái, yào wǒ dė qī zi, er nǚ, hé jīn yín, wǒ bìng méi yǒu tuī cí tā。

1 Kings 20:7

Then the King of Israel called all the elders of the land
His poor sneaking spirit was a little aroused with the last message, and therefore called a council of the elders of the people upon it, which was a piece of wisdom in him:

and said, mark, I pray you, and see how this man seeketh mischief;
nothing less than the entire ruin of the nation:

for he sent unto me for my wives, and for my children, and for my
silver, and for my gold, and I denied him not;
in the sense he understood him, which was, that he was to be a vassal, and tributary to him, for the sake of holding these, which yet was very mean; but he wanted to have these in hand, and not them only, but the pillaging of all his subjects.

5 Shǐ zhě yòu lái shuō, biàn hā dá rú cǐ shuō, wǒ yǐ chà qiǎn rén qù jiàn nǐ, yào nǐ jiāng nǐ dė jīn yín, qī zi, é nǚ dōu gěi wǒ。
6 Dàn míng rì yuē zài zhè shí hou, wǒ hái yào chà qiǎn chén PŪ dào nǐ nà lǐ, sōu chá nǐ dė jiā hé nǐ PŪ rén dė jiā, jiāng nǐ yǎn zhōng yī qiè suǒ xǐ ài dė dōu ná lė qù。

8 Zhǎng lǎo hé bǎi xìng duì wáng shuō, bù yào tīng cóng tā, yě bù yào yīng yǔn tā。
9 Gù cǐ, yǐ sè liè wáng duì biàn hā dá dė shǐ zhě shuō, nǐ mėn gào su wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng shuō, wáng tóu yī cì chà qiǎn rén xiàng PŪ rén suǒ yào dė, PŪ rén dōu yī cóng。 dàn zhè cì suǒ yào dė, wǒ bù néng yī cóng。 shǐ zhě jìu qù huí fù biàn hā dá。
