Jeremiah 5:20

Declare this in the house of Jacob
That a mighty nation should come and destroy them, and they should be servants in a strange land; or rather the words seem to be an order to declare war against the Jews, and even in their own land; and do not seem to be addressed to the prophet, but to others, seeing the words are in the plural number; see ( Jeremiah 4:5 ) : and publish it in Judah:
the house of Jacob and Judah are the same, namely, the two tribes of Benjamin and Judah; for, as for the ten tribes, as observed on ( Jeremiah 5:15 ) , they had been carried captive before this time: saying:

18 Yēhéhuá shuō , jiù shì dào nàshí , wǒ yĕ bù jiāng nǐmen huǐmiè jìng jǐn .

19 Bǎixìng ruò shuō , Yēhéhuá wǒmen de shén wèishénme xiàng wǒmen xíng zhè yīqiè shì ne . nǐ jiù duì tāmen shuō , nǐmen zĕnyàng lí qì Yēhéhuá ( yuánwén zuò wǒ ) , zaì nǐmen de dì shang shìfèng waì bāng shén , yĕ bì zhàoyàng zaì bù shǔ nǐmen de dì shang shìfèng waìbāngrén .

20 Dāng chuányáng zaì Yǎgè jiā , bàogào zaì Yóudà shuō ,

21 Yúmeì wúzhī de bǎixìng a , nǐmen yǒu yǎn bù kàn , yǒu ĕr bù tīng , xiànzaì dāng tīng zhè huà .

22 Yēhéhuá shuō , nǐmen zĕnme bù jùpà wǒ ne . wǒ yǐ yǒngyuǎn de dénglì , yòng shā wèi hǎi de jiè xiàn , shuǐ bùdé yuèguò . yīncǐ , nǐmen zaì wǒ miànqián hái bù zhàn jīng ma . bō làng suīrán fānteng , què bùnéng yú yuè . suīrán hōng , què bùnéng guo qù .
