Hebrews 8:1-7 DBY

1 Now a summary a of the things of which we are speaking [is], We have such a one high priest b who has sat down c on [the] right hand of the throne of the greatness in the heavens;

    • ¹ 8:1 - Or 'the chief point.' The difference is small; it expresses what it results in, in the writer's mind, as the substance of the things of which we are speaking. 'The things of which we are speaking' is the present subject which occupies him: it heads up in this.

      2 minister of the holy places and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord has pitched, [and] not man.

      4 If then indeed he were upon earth, he would not even be a priest, there being those who offer the gifts according to the law,
