Mark 13:29-37

So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that he is near, 1at the very gates.
2Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.
3Heaven and earth will pass away, but 4my words will not pass away.

No One Knows That Day or Hour

"But concerning that day or that hour, 5no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, 6nor the Son, 7but only the Father.
8Be on guard, 9keep awake.[a] For you do not know when the time will come.
10It is like a man 11going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants[b] in charge, 12each with his work, and commands 13the doorkeeper to stay awake.
14Therefore stay awake--for you do not know when the master of the house will come, 15in the evening, or 16at midnight, or 17when the rooster crows,[c] or 18in the morning--
lest 19he come suddenly and 20find you asleep.
And what I say to you I say to all: 21Stay awake."
