And being found in human form, he humbled himself by 1becoming obedient to the point of death, 2even death on a cross.
93Therefore 4God has 5highly exalted him and bestowed on him 6the name that is above every name,
so that at the name of Jesus 7every knee should bow, 8in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and 9every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is 10Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Therefore, my beloved, 11as you have always 12obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling,
for 13it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for 14his good pleasure.
Do all things 15without grumbling or 16questioning,
that you may be blameless and innocent, 17children of God 18without blemish 19in the midst of 20a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine 21as lights in the world,
holding fast to 22the word of life, so that in 23the day of Christ 24I may be proud that 25I did not run in vain or labor in vain.
Even if I am to be 26poured out as a drink offering upon 27the sacrificial offering of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.
Likewise you also should be glad and rejoice with me.
