"You shall not covet6 your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."

When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet7 and saw the mountain in smoke,8 they trembled with fear.9 They stayed at a distance

and said to Moses, "Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak10 to us or we will die."1120
Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid.12 God has come to test13 you, so that the fear14 of God will be with you to keep you from sinning."1521
The people remained at a distance, while Moses approached the thick darkness16 where God was.

Then the LORD said to Moses, "Tell the Israelites this: 'You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven:1723
Do not make any gods to be alongside me;18 do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.19
