And there was evening, and there was morning1--the fifth day.
And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures2 according to their kinds:3 livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.425
God made the wild animals5 according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds.6 And God saw that it was good.726
Then God said, "Let us8 make man9 in our image,10 in our likeness,11 and let them rule12 over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air,13 over the livestock, over all the earth,a and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
So God created14 man15 in his own image,16 in the image of God17 he created him; male and female18 he created them.1928
God blessed them and said to them,20 "Be fruitful and increase in number;21 fill the earth22 and subdue it. Rule over23 the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.24"
Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.2530
And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground--everything that has the breath of life26 in it--I give every green plant for food.27" And it was so.
God saw all that he had made,28 and it was very good.29 And there was evening, and there was morning30--the sixth day.
