Isaiah 41:11-21 (New International Version)

View In My Bible
11 "All who rage1 against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced;2 those who oppose3 you will be as nothing and perish.4 12 Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them.5 Those who wage war against you will be as nothing6 at all. 13 For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand7 and says to you, Do not fear; I will help8 you. 14 Do not be afraid,9 O worm10 Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help11 you," declares the LORD, your Redeemer,12 the Holy One13 of Israel. 15 "See, I will make you into a threshing sledge,14 new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains15 and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff.16 16 You will winnow17 them, the wind will pick them up, and a gale18 will blow them away.19 But you will rejoice20 in the LORD and glory21 in the Holy One22 of Israel. 17 "The poor and needy search for water,23 but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst.24 But I the LORD will answer25 them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake26 them. 18 I will make rivers flow27 on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert28 into pools of water,29 and the parched ground into springs.30 19 I will put in the desert31 the cedar and the acacia,32 the myrtle and the olive. I will set pines33 in the wasteland, the fir and the cypress34 together,35 20 so that people may see and know,36 may consider and understand,37 that the hand38 of the LORD has done this, that the Holy One39 of Israel has created40 it. 21 "Present your case,41" says the LORD. "Set forth your arguments," says Jacob's King.42
