"Listen1 to me, you who pursue righteousness2 and who seek3 the LORD: Look to the rock4 from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn;
look to Abraham,5 your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth. When I called him he was but one, and I blessed him and made him many.63
The LORD will surely comfort7 Zion8 and will look with compassion on all her ruins;9 he will make her deserts like Eden,10 her wastelands11 like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness12 will be found in her, thanksgiving13 and the sound of singing.
"Listen to me, my people;14 hear me,15 my nation: The law16 will go out from me; my justice17 will become a light to the nations.185
My righteousness draws near speedily, my salvation19 is on the way,20 and my arm21 will bring justice to the nations. The islands22 will look to me and wait in hope23 for my arm.
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke,24 the earth will wear out like a garment25 and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation26 will last forever,27 my righteousness will never fail.287
"Hear me, you who know what is right,29 you people who have my law in your hearts:30 Do not fear the reproach of men or be terrified by their insults.318
For the moth will eat them up like a garment;32 the worm33 will devour them like wool. But my righteousness will last forever,34 my salvation through all generations."
Awake, awake!35 Clothe yourself with strength,36 O arm37 of the LORD; awake, as in days gone by, as in generations of old.38 Was it not you who cut Rahab39 to pieces, who pierced that monster40 through?
Was it not you who dried up the sea,41 the waters of the great deep,42 who made a road in the depths of the sea43 so that the redeemed44 might cross over?
