"And now what do I have here?" declares the LORD. "For my people have been taken away for nothing, and those who rule them mock,a " declares the LORD. "And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed.16
Therefore my people will know2 my name;3 therefore in that day4 they will know that it is I who foretold5 it. Yes, it is I."
How beautiful on the mountains6 are the feet of those who bring good news,7 who proclaim peace,8 who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"98
Listen! Your watchmen10 lift up their voices;11 together they shout for joy.12 When the LORD returns13 to Zion,14 they will see it with their own eyes.
Burst into songs of joy15 together, you ruins16 of Jerusalem, for the LORD has comforted17 his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.1810
The LORD will lay bare his holy arm19 in the sight of all the nations,20 and all the ends of the earth21 will see the salvation22 of our God.
Depart,23 depart, go out from there! Touch no unclean thing!24 Come out from it and be pure,25 you who carry the vessels26 of the LORD.
But you will not leave in haste27 or go in flight; for the LORD will go before you,28 the God of Israel will be your rear guard.29
See, my servant30 will act wiselyb; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.3114
Just as there were many who were appalled32 at himc-- his appearance was so disfigured33 beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness34--
so will he sprinkle35 many nations,d and kings36 will shut their mouths37 because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.38
