Raise the signal1 to go to Zion! Flee for safety without delay! For I am bringing disaster2 from the north,3 even terrible destruction."

So put on sackcloth,9 lament10 and wail, for the fierce anger11 of the LORD has not turned away from us.

At that time this people and Jerusalem will be told, "A scorching wind16 from the barren heights in the desert blows toward my people, but not to winnow or cleanse;
a wind17 too strong for that comes from me.a Now I pronounce my judgments18 against them."
Look! He advances like the clouds,19 his chariots20 come like a whirlwind,21 his horses22 are swifter than eagles.23 Woe to us! We are ruined!2414
O Jerusalem, wash25 the evil from your heart and be saved.26 How long27 will you harbor wicked thoughts?
