Ten times1 now you have reproached2 me; shamelessly you attack me.
If it is true that I have gone astray, my error3 remains my concern alone.
If indeed you would exalt yourselves above me4 and use my humiliation against me,
then know that God has wronged me5 and drawn his net6 around me.7
"Though I cry, 'I've been wronged!' I get no response;8 though I call for help,9 there is no justice.10
He has blocked my way so I cannot pass;11 he has shrouded my paths in darkness.12
He has stripped13 me of my honor14 and removed the crown from my head.15
He tears me down16 on every side till I am gone; he uproots my hope17 like a tree.18
His anger19 burns against me; he counts me among his enemies.20
His troops advance in force;21 they build a siege ramp22 against me and encamp around my tent.23
"He has alienated my brothers24 from me; my acquaintances are completely estranged from me.25
