what he lays up1 the righteous will wear,2 and the innocent will divide his silver.3
The house4 he builds is like a moth's cocoon,5 like a hut6 made by a watchman.
He lies down wealthy, but will do so no more;7 when he opens his eyes, all is gone.8
Terrors9 overtake him like a flood;10 a tempest snatches him away in the night.11
The east wind12 carries him off, and he is gone;13 it sweeps him out of his place.14
It hurls itself against him without mercy15 as he flees headlong16 from its power.17
It claps its hands18 in derision and hisses him out of his place.19
