The Phariseesalso with the Sadduceescame , andtemptingdesiredhim that he would shewthem a signfromheaven.2Heanswered and said unto them,When it isevening, ye say , It will be fair weather:for the sky is red .3And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day:for the sky is red and lowring . O ye hypocrites, ye candiscern the face of the sky;but can yenot discern the signs of the times?4A wickedandadulterousgeneration seeketh after a sign;and there shall nosign be given unto it,but the sign of the prophetJonas. And he leftthem, and departed .
5And when hisdisciples were cometo the other side, they had forgotten to takebread.6ThenJesussaid unto them,Take heedandbewareof the leaven of the Phariseesand of the Sadducees.7And they reasonedamongthemselves, saying , It is because we have takennobread.8
Which whenJesusperceived , he said unto them,O ye of little faith, why reason yeamongyourselves, because ye have broughtnobread?9Do ye not yetunderstand , neitherremember the fiveloaves of the five thousand, and how manybaskets ye took up ?10Neither the sevenloaves of the four thousand, and how manybaskets ye took up ?11How is it that ye donotunderstand that I spake it not to youconcerningbread, that ye should bewareof the leaven of the Phariseesand of the Sadducees?12Then understood they how that he bade them notbewareof the leaven of bread, butof the doctrine of the Phariseesand of the Sadducees.13WhenJesuscameinto the coasts of CaesareaPhilippi, he askedhisdisciples, saying , Whom do mensay that I the Son of manam ?14And they said , Some say that thou artJohn the Baptist : some,Elias;andothers,Jeremias, orone of the prophets.15
