Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together , she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said , Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again , that I may come and worship him also.
And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down , and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
Ask , and it shall be given you; seek , and ye shall find ; knock , and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth ; and he that seeketh findeth ; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened .
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
When Jesus heard it, he marvelled , and said to them that followed , Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
Then he saith , I will return into my house from whence I came out ; and when he is come , he findeth it empty , swept , and garnished .
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found , he hideth , and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath , and buyeth that field.
Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had , and bought it.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up ; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take , and give unto them for me and thee.
And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you , he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray .
But the same servant went out , and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat , saying , Pay me that thou owest .
And about the eleventh hour he went out , and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied , and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.
And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon , but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away .
Go ye therefore into the highways , and as many as ye shall find , bid to the marriage.
So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found , both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests .
Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing .
And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep , and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy .
But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came , yet found they none . At the last came two false witnesses,
And as they came out , they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.
