And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets , He shall be called a Nazarene.
Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid .
Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool : neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
And they that kept them fled , and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils .
And, behold , the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
These twelve Jesus sent forth , and commanded them, saying , Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter , enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence .
And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come .
Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done , because they repented not:
And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation ; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand :
And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved , saying , Who is this?
And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.
Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered .
Wherefore , behold , I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify ; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
And he said , Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith , My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
Now when they were going , behold , some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done .
