1And I saw a newheavenand a newearth:for the firstheavenand the firstearth were passed away ; and there wasnomoresea.2AndIJohnsaw the holycity,newJerusalem, coming downfromGod out ofheaven,preparedas a brideadorned for herhusband.3And I heard a greatvoice out ofheavensaying , Behold , the tabernacle of God is withmen,and he will dwellwiththem,andthey shall behispeople,andGodhimself shall bewiththem, and be theirGod.4AndGod shall wipe awayalltearsfromtheireyes;and there shall benomoredeath,neithersorrow,norcrying,neithershall there be any morepain:for the former things are passed away .
5And he that satupon the thronesaid , Behold , I make all thingsnew.And he said unto me,Write : forthesewordsaretrueandfaithful.6And he said unto me, It is done . IamAlphaandOmega, the beginningand the end.I will give unto him that is athirstof the fountain of the water of lifefreely.7
He that overcometh shall inherit all things;aand I will behisGod,andhe shall bemyson.8But the fearful,andunbelieving,and the abominable , andmurderers,andwhoremongers,andsorcerers,andidolaters,andallliars, shall have theirpartin the lakewhichburneth with fireandbrimstone: which is the seconddeath.9And there cameuntome one of the sevenangelswhichhad the sevenvialsfull of the sevenlastplagues,andtalkedwithme,saying , Come hither , I will shewthee the bride, the Lamb'swife.10And he carriedmeawayin the spiritto a greatandhighmountain,andshewedme that greatcity, the holyJerusalem,descending out ofheavenfromGod,11Having the glory of God:andherlight was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasperstone, clear as crystal ;
12Andhad a wallgreatandhigh, and hadtwelvegates,andat the gatestwelveangels,andnames written thereon , whichare the names of the twelvetribes of the children of Israel:13On the eastthreegates;on the norththreegates;on the souththreegates;andon the westthreegates.14And the wall of the cityhadtwelvefoundations,andinthem the names of the twelveapostles of the Lamb.15And he that talkedwithmehad a goldenreedtomeasure the city,and the gatesthereof,and the wallthereof.16And the cityliethfoursquare,and the lengthis as largeasthebreadth:and he measured the city with the reed , twelvethousandfurlongs. The lengthand the breadthand the height of itareequal.17And he measured the wallthereof, an hundred and forty and fourcubits, according to the measure of a man, that is , of the angel.18And the building of the wall of itwas of jasper:and the city was puregold,like unto clearglass.19And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner ofpreciousstones. The firstfoundation was jasper; the second,sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;20
The fifth,sardonyx; the sixth,sardius; the seventh,chrysolite; the eighth,beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.21And the twelvegates were twelvepearls;everyseveralgatewasofonepearl:and the street of the city was puregold, as it weretransparentglass.22And I sawnotempletherein : for the LordGodAlmightyand the Lambare the temple of it.23And the cityhadnoneed of the sun,neither of the moon,toshineinit:for the glory of God did lightenit,and the Lamb is the lightthereof.24And the nations of them which are saved shall walkin the light of it:and the kings of the earth do bringtheirgloryandhonourintoit.25And the gates of itshallnot be shut at all by day:for there shall benonightthere.26And they shall bring the gloryandhonour of the nationsintoit.27And there shall in no wiseenterintoit any thing that defileth , neither whatsoever workethabomination,or maketh a lie:but they which are writtenin the Lamb'sbook of life.
