1Therefore thou artinexcusable,Oman, whosoever thou art that judgest : forwhereinthoujudgestanother, thou condemnestthyself;for thou that judgestdoest the same things.2But we are surethat the judgment of Godisaccording to truthagainst them which commit such things.3And thinkest thouthis,Oman, that judgest them which do such things, anddoest the same, thatthou shalt escape the judgment of God?4Or despisest thou the riches of hisgoodnessandforbearanceandlongsuffering; not knowingthat the goodness of Godleadeththeetorepentance?5Butafterthyhardnessandimpenitentheart treasurest up unto thyselfwrathagainst the day of wrathandrevelation of the righteous judgment of God;6Who will render to every manaccording to hisdeeds:7
To them who bypatientcontinuance in welldoingseek for gloryandhonourandimmortality,eternallife:8But unto them that are contentious , and do not obey the truth,butobeyunrighteousness,indignationandwrath,9Tribulationandanguish,uponeverysoul of man that doethevil, of the Jewfirst, andalso of the Gentile;a10Butglory,honour,andpeace, to every man that workethgood, to the Jewfirst, andalso to the Gentile:b11For there isno respect of personswithGod.12For as many as have sinned without lawshallalsoperish without law:and as many as have sinnedin the law shall be judgedby the law;13
(For not the hearers of the law are justbeforeGod,but the doers of the law shall be justified .
14Forwhen the Gentiles, whichhavenot the law,do by nature the things contained in the law, these, havingnot the law,are a law unto themselves:15Whichshew the work of the lawwrittenintheirhearts, theirconsciencec also bearing witness , and their thoughts the mean while accusingorelseexcusing one another ;)
16In the daywhenGod shall judge the secrets of menbyJesusChristaccording to mygospel.17Behold,thou art called a Jew,andrestest in the law,and makest thy boastofGod,18Andknowest his will, andapprovestd the things that are more excellent , being instructed out of the law;19And art confident that thou thyselfart a guide of the blind, a light of them which are indarkness,20
An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledgeand of the truthin the law.21
Thou thereforewhichteachestanother, teachest thounotthyself? thou that preachest a man shouldnotsteal , dost thou steal ?
Thou that sayest a man shouldnot commit adultery , dost thou commit adultery ? thou that abhorrestidols, dost thou commit sacrilege ?
23Thou that makest thy boastof the law, throughbreaking the law dishonourest thouGod?24For the name of God is blasphemedamong the Gentilesthroughyou,as it is written .
25Forcircumcisionverilyprofiteth , if thou keep the law:butif thou be a breaker of the law, thycircumcision is madeuncircumcision.26Thereforeif the uncircumcisionkeep the righteousness of the law, shallnothisuncircumcision be countedforcircumcision?27And shall notuncircumcision which is bynature, if it fulfil the law, judgethee, who by the letterandcircumcision dost transgress the law?28For he isnot a Jew, which is one outwardly ; neither is that circumcision, which is outwardin the flesh:29But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly ; andcircumcision is that of the heart,in the spirit, and not in the letter;whosepraise is notofmen, butofGod.
