2 Corinthians 12:9-19 (New American Standard)

9 And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for 1power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather 2boast aabout my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10 Therefore 3I am well content with weaknesses, with binsults, with 4distresses, with 5persecutions, with 6difficulties, 7for Christ's sake; for 8when I am weak, then I am strong. 11 I have become 9foolish; you yourselves compelled me. Actually I should have been commended by you, for 10in no respect was I inferior to the cmost eminent apostles, even though 11I am a nobody. 12 The d12signs eof a true apostle were performed among you with all perseverance, by fsigns and wonders and gmiracles. 13 For in what respect were you treated as inferior to the rest of the churches, except that 13I myself did not become a burden to you? Forgive me 14this wrong! 14 Here 15for this third time I am ready to come to you, and I 16will not be a burden to you; for I 17do not seek what is yours, but 18you; for 19children are not responsible to save up for their parents, but 20parents for their children. 15 I will 21most gladly spend and be expended for your souls. If 22I love you more, am I to be loved less? 16 But be that as it may, I 23did not burden you myself; nevertheless, crafty fellow that I am, I 24took you in by deceit. 17 25Certainly I have not taken advantage of you through any of those whom I have sent to you, have I? 18 I 26urged 27Titus to go, and I sent 28the brother with him. Titus did not take any advantage of you, did he? Did we not hconduct ourselves iin the same 29spirit and walk 30in the same steps? 19 All this time jyou have been thinking that we are defending ourselves to you. Actually, 31it is in the sight of God that we have been speaking in Christ; and 32all for your upbuilding, 33beloved.
